Sprain Lake Golf Course first opened for play in 1928. The course was designed by Tom Winton.
Sprain Lake Golf Course has small greens, rolling terrain and a number of highly challenging holes, with an abundance of water hazards and difficult shots. Because of its long and narrow layout, Sprain Lake offers a mostly linear, back-and-forth style of play.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6071 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5620 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par-5 that plays to 524 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 138 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 10, a 524 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Sprain Lake Golf Course is # 9, a 164 yard par-3.

I think this is a well kept course. The irrigation is good as there rarely is water on the course. I enjoy playing it.
